The Wolf Pack (21-35-3-2, 47 pts., .385) endured a difficult weekend, with an 8-1 loss at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday night and 5-2 defeats Saturday night in Springfield and Sunday at Bridgeport.  Taylor Beck notched his first Wolf Pack goal in Friday night’s game, and then had a goal and an assist against his old team, the Sound Tigers, Sunday, and Michael Joly posted his first career AHL multiple-point effort in Saturday’s contest, with two assists.

This week:  The Wolf Pack continue a stretch of six straight road games this weekend, with a pair of back-to-back games in Hershey, PA.  The Pack and Bears collide both Friday and Saturday nights at Giant Center, with both games facing off at 7:00 PM.

Friday, March 17 at the Hershey Bears (Washington) at Giant Center, 7:00 PM

  • The Bears have won the last three meetings in the season series with the Wolf Pack, after the Pack took the first two.  In their two previous visits to Hershey, the Wolf Pack have logged a 5-4 win December 17 and a 4-2 loss on February 11.
  • Former Wolf Pack captain Ryan Bourque has scored in two of Hershey’s last three games (2-1-3), after lighting the lamp only once in his first 36 outings.
  • The Bears enter the week having won five of their last six games and seven of their last nine, to move into a virtual tie for third place in the Atlantic Division.

Saturday, March 18 at the Hershey Bears (Washington) at Giant Center, 7:00 PM

  • Hershey sports a home record of 20-6-5-1, tied for the second-most home-ice points (46) in the AHL, and the Bears have won seven straight at home.
  • The Wolf Pack have gone 15-8-1-1 in their 25 all-time road games in Hershey.

  • Friday, March 17, 5:00 PM, Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, CT:  Sonar, the Wolf Pack’s beloved mascot, heads to the Mohegan Sun Arena to cross-promote Wolf Pack hockey and Black Wolves lacrosse.

Pack Tracks:  The Wolf Pack’s next home game is Friday, March 24, when the Providence Bruins come to the XL Center for a 7:15 PM game.  That night features $1 hot dogs and $2 beers through the start of the second period, and March 24 is also “Social Media Night” at the XL Center.  Fans are encouraged to bring their smart phones to the game and give the Wolf Pack a follow.  The Wolf Pack will be giving away cool prizes and interacting with fans on social media throughout the game.

On Saturday, March 25, when the Wolf Pack host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in a 7:00 PM game, the first 2,000 fans receive a free Wolf Pack jersey drawstring backpack, sponsored by ProHealth.

The last Wolf Pack “Click It or Ticket Family Value Pack” game of the season is Sunday, March 26, when the Wolf Pack host the Providence Bruins in a 5:00 PM game.  The Family Value Pack includes two tickets, two sodas and two hot dogs, all for just $40. 

At every Sunday Wolf Pack home game, the first 2,000 fans receive a “hockey bingo” card.  The spaces on these cards contain possibilities that might happen in the game, and if they do, fans can fill in the spaces to win Wolf Pack bingo prizes.  The last Sunday Wolf Pack home date is March 26, a 5:00 PM game vs. the Providence Bruins.
