Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the Wolf Pack has recalled defenseman Mike Marcou from its ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Road Warriors.
Marcou, who signed an AHL contract with the Wolf Pack July 9, 2013, is the leader among Greenville defensemen in points, goals and assists this season, with four goals and five assists for nine points in 25 games. The second-year pro out of U. Mass-Amherst also had six penalty minutes with the Road Warriors.
Marcou, a 5-11, 180-pound native of Kings Park, NY, played 54 games last season with Greenville, topping team defensemen in points, goals and assists with a stat line of 6-19-25. He was also +19, which was good for second-best on the Road Warrior club and fourth-best among ECHL rookies. Marcou also skated in two AHL games in 2012-13 for the San Antonio Rampage, going +2 with four shots on goal in those two contests.
Prior to turning pro, Marcou spent four Hockey East seasons with U. Mass-Amherst, totaling 17 goals and 26 assists for 43 points in 117 games. Following a 21-point (6-15-21 in 34 GP) senior season in 2011-12, Marcou got his first taste of professional action with two AHL games in the Oklahoma City Barons’ lineup.

All Wolf Pack Friday-night home games feature $1 hot dogs and $2 beers through the start of the second period, presented by Marc’s Appliance Warehouse, located at 75 Prospect Ave., Hartford, CT.
