Wolf Pack Add two Forwards to Roster
Dec 5, 2016Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld today announced that the Wolf Pack has recalled forward Michael Joly from its ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, and that the team has signed forward Allan McPherson to a Professional Tryout (PTO) agreement.
Joly, whom the Wolf Pack signed to an AHL contract May 13, has scored seven goals and added three assists for ten points in only eight games with the Swamp Rabbits since being loaned to Greenville November 18. Prior to that, the rookie out of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League skated in six games with the Wolf Pack, going scoreless with one minor penalty and four shots on goal.
McPherson, a third-year pro out of Clarkson University, has one goal and three assists for four points in seven games with the Swamp Rabbits this year, after splitting his first two full pro campaigns between the Rochester Americans of the AHL and the ECHL’s Elmira Jackals. In 65 career AHL games with the Americans and the Abbotsford Heat, the 5-10, 181-pound McPherson has totaled four goals and six assists for ten points, along with 16 penalty minutes.
The Wolf Pack’s next action is a home game this Wednesday, December 7, a 7:00 PM contest vs. the Springfield Thunderbirds at the XL Center. That is another “Click It or Ticket Family Value Pack” game. The Family Value Pack includes two tickets, two sodas and two hot dogs, all for just $40.
