Wolf Pack Acquire Dov Grumet-Morris
Dec 13, 2013Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the Wolf Pack has obtained goaltender Dov Grumet-Morris in a trade with the San Antonio Rampage, in exchange for future considerations.
Grumet-Morris, 31, makes a return to Hartford, where he played 22 games in 2010-11 for the Connecticut Whale. The 6-2, 205-pound backstop was 13-5-1 in a Whale uniform, with a 2.12 goals-against average, a 92.3% save percentage and one shutout.
Now in his ninth year of pro hockey out of Harvard University, Grumet-Morris has seen action in eight games this year with the Rampage, in his third season with San Antonio. The Evanston, IL native was 1-6-1 in those eight appearances, with a 2.86 GAA and a 90.4% save percentage.
Grumet-Morris has appeared in 134 AHL games in his career, with the Portland Pirates, Hamilton Bulldogs, Manitoba Moose, Milwaukee Admirals, Whale and Rampage, going 53-58-13 with a 2.67 GAA, a 91.9% save percentage and ten shutouts. A fifth-round selection (161st overall) by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2002 NHL Draft, Grumet-Morris was signed to an AHL contract by the Rampage November 18, 2011.
The Wolf Pack return to action tonight, hosting the Adirondack Phantoms in a 7:00 PM game at the XL Center.
