Rangers Recall Lindberg
Feb 24, 2015New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the team has recalled forward Oscar Lindberg from the Wolf Pack.
Lindberg, 23, has skated in 54 games with the Wolf Pack this season, registering 16 goals and 20 assists for 36 points, along with a plus-five rating and 50 penalty minutes. He leads the Wolf Pack in shots on goal (155), ranks second in points, is tied for second in assists and power play goals (five), ranks third in goals, and is tied for fourth in plus/minus rating.
The 6-0, 195-pounder recorded four points (three goals, one assist) in Hartford’s four games last week, and tallied the game-winning goal in overtime in back-to-back contests on Feb. 20 against Springfield and Feb. 21 against Lehigh Valley. Lindberg has notched 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) in the last 21 games, and he has registered 21 points (eight goals, 13 assists) in the last 29 games.
The Skellefteå, Sweden native was acquired from the Coyotes in exchange for Ethan Werek on May 8, 2011.
