‘GREEN’ GIVEAWAYS LEAD TO SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVES AT HARTFORD WOLF PACK

In an effort to make positive steps in the direction of large-scale sustainable practices at the XL Center and specifically at Hartford Wolf Pack games, Spectra’s staff at the XL Center announced two promotional giveaways in the New Year that would embrace the ‘green’ undertakings seen across the country. 

All fans attending the Hartford Wolf Pack game on Saturday, January 4th, will go home with a reusable straw set, courtesy of ProHealth Physicians. Plus, the XL Center is taking it a step further to help eliminate plastic straw use in the venue by hosting a straw-less night. No single-use straws will be used on the concourse, in the bars and in the club and suites during the game. Reusable straw sets will be given upon entry to the game to all attendees. 

On Friday, January 10th, if you are one of the first 2,000 attendees at the Hartford Wolf Pack game, you will be receiving a clear plastic tote bag, presented by Lewis Real Estate Services, LLC. Connecticut’s recent efforts to eliminate single-use plastic bags littering the environment by imposing a bag tax, inspired the tote giveaway and encourages fans to make use of reusable bags instead. An added benefit to the giveaway is that it complies with newer security measures implemented across the country, allowing only clear bags into venues.
