ANTON BLIDH STRIKES TWICE AS WOLF PACK DOWN SENATORS 4-1
Oct 30, 2026
BELLEVILLE, ON – The Hartford Wolf Pack struck twice on the power play in the opening period on Friday night, riding that to a 4-1 victory over the Belleville Senators at CIBC Place.
For the third straight game on the road, the Wolf Pack opened the scoring. On an early power play, Nathan Aspinall took a pass in the right-wing circle from Juuso Pärssinen. There, Aspinall sent a pass to the backdoor for Anton Blidh, who tapped home the ice breaker at 6:17.
The goal was Blidh’s second of the season.
Just two seconds after their first power play expired, the Senators drew even. Kasper Halttunen took a pass just inside the left-wing circle and fired a shot that beat Callum Tung to make it 1-1.
The goal, scored at 10:48, was Halttunen’s sixth of the season.
The Wolf Pack went back to the power play at 16:27 when Gabriel Eliasson was whistled for tripping.
This time, it was Justin Dowling who was able to slam home a backdoor feed. Marc Del Gaizo connected with Dowling at 17:29, allowing him to bury his second goal of the season to make it 2-1.
Jackson Parsons was the story in the second period in the Belleville net, as he made ten saves to keep the score 2-1 through 40 minutes.
Liam Greentree had the best looks of the period for the Wolf Pack. Twice he was denied on the right-wing side by Parsons, with the second one coming off a one-timer near the bottom of the circle.
Callum Tung made numerous key saves in the final frame, ensuring the Wolf Pack two points. Tung made ten third period saves, including one off a breakaway attempt by Blake Montgomery.
The Wolf Pack ended the intrigue with two empty net goals in the final minute, as both Carey Terrance and Blidh lit the lamp.
