Wolf Pack fall to Providence Bruins in Shootout, 4-3

Matt Hendricks scored once in the third period and once in the shootout as Providence rallied for a 4-3 win over visiting Hartford.
Hendricks and Matt Lashoff scored 2:30 apart in the third to tie the score after Hartford had taken a 3-1 lead in to the final frame. The Wolf Pack fell to 12-0-0-1 this season when leading after 40 minutes.
Pierre Parenteau, Greg Moore and Hugh Jessiman scored for Hartford, which saw its five-game winning streak come to an end. The Pack are still 11-2-0-1 in their last 14 outings.
In his return from missing nearly three weeks due to injury, Al Montoya made 40 saves for Hartford. Andy Franck stopped 31 shots to improve to 3-0-0 on the season.
With the victory, the Bruins opened up a four-point lead over the Wolf Pack atop the Atlantic Division. Providence has won all three meetings between the teams in 2007-08.
