Wolf Pack defeat NorAds in Back-to-Back Games


Friday, January 11: HARTFORD 4, NORFOLK 2

Hartford scored three times in the game’s first 10 minutes and cruised to a 4-2 road win over Norfolk at the Scope.

Dane Byers led the Wolf Pack with a goal and two assists on the night. Corey Potter and Andrew Hutchinson also scored in the first period, and Ryan Callahan – Hartford’s leading goal-scorer in 2006-07 – netted a third-period goal in his first contest for the Wolf Pack this season.

Hartford goaltender Al Montoya made 29 saves, helping his club end a season-high three-game slide (0-2-1-0).

Norm Milley and Rob Klinkhammer netted goals for the Admirals.

Saturday, January 12: HARTFORD 3, NORFOLK 2
On pink ice, Hartford built a 3-0 lead and held on for a 3-2 win over host Norfolk and a sweep of the teams’ two-game weekend set at the Scope.

Lauri Korpikoski, Ryan Callahan, and Tom Pyatt netted goals for the Wolf Pack, who had a three-goal advantage with 18:32 to play in the game.

But the Admirals scored a pair of power play goals, with Norm Milley converting at 6:53 and David Schneider pulling his club within a goal at 15:46.

Norfolk was unable to get the equalizer, as Wolf Pack goaltender Al Montoya earned the win with 27 saves.
